Reggie Jackson Homers Twice In Yankees’ 50th Win

Yankees 6, Brewers 3  (50-39)

Reggie Jackson had a big day at the plate as he led the Yankees in their win over the Brewers.  He went two for four with two homers and three RBIs and the two longballs bring his season total to fifteen.  Rookie George Zeber also made a contribution with a two run homer in the seventh inning.

Ed Figueroa picked up the win and he improved to 9-7 on the season.  He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.  Sparky Lyle didn’t give up a run in the 2 1/3 innings and he picked up his fifteenth save of the season.
