Catfish Hunter Shelled Again In Yankees Loss to Orioles

Orioles 6, Yankees 1  (4-5)

The Yankees lost their first home game of the season as Catfish Hunter was knocked around for the second straight time.  He fell to 0-2 and he gave up five runs on six hits and five walks with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.  Goose Gossage threw 3 2/3 solid innings, but for the third straight time, he gave up a run.

The Yankees scored their lone run in the second.  Reggie Jackson scored when Cliff Johnson grounded into a double play.  Lou Piniella was the only Yankee with two hits in the loss.
