Catfish Hunter Throws Six Shutout Innings In Yankees Win

Yankees 3, Twins 1  (16-10)

Catfish Hunter threw six shutout innings as he tried to get back on track after a rough start to the season.  He improved to 2-3 and he gave up one hit and two walks with the three strikeouts.  Sparky Lyle gave up one run on three hits in three innings of relief and he picked up his fifth save of the season.

Graig Nettles homered for the second time in as many games and he also doubled and finished with two runs.  Reggie Jackson belted his sixth homer of the season, a solo homer in the fourth inning.
