Cliff Johnson Belts Three Homers In Yankees Blowout Win Over Blue Jays

Yankees 11, Blue Jays 5  (42-33)

The Yankees salvaged a split in their four game series with the Blue Jays behind the bit stick of Cliff Johnson.  He homered three times and drove in four runs to lead the way for the Yankees.  Thurman Munson homered and drove in four runs while Lou Piniella went three for five with a solo homerun and two runs.

Catfish Hunter improved to 4-3 on the season with the win. He gave up five runs (three earned) on seven hits and two walks with two strikeouts as he went the distance.
