Cliff Johnson, Mickey Rivers Each Drive In Three Runs In Yankees Fourth Straight Win

Yankees 9, Athletics 2  (58-45)

The Yankees blew out the Athletics for their fourth straight win and it was Cliff Johnson and Mickey Rivers who came up with the big hits.  Johnson belted a three run homer and he scored twice while Rivers singled and drove in three runs.  Graig Nettles pitched in with a single, a walk and three runs.

Ed Figueroa picked up the win and he improved to 10-7.  He gave up two runs on seven hits and two walk with three strikeouts in eight innings of work.
