Brewers 7, Yankees 4 (2-4)
The Yankees lost for the fourth time in five games as Don Gullett was hit hard by the Brewers offense. Gullett gave up two quick runs in the first, seemed to calm down, then gave up five in the fifth before he was pulled. Dick Tidrow and Ron Guidry held the Brewers the scoreless the rest of the way but all the Yankees could manage was a 7-4 loss.
Thurman Munson account for half of the Yankees scoring with a two run single in the eighth inning. Willie Randolph had a good game at the plate. He went two for three with an RBI.
