May 20, 1977 at Yankee Stadium
Orioles 6, Yankees 5  (20-15)

Don Gullett was knocked around early in his start over the Orioles.  He gave up five runs (four earned) on nine hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.  Oddly, he didn’t take the loss.  Dick Tidrow did despite having a solid relief outing.  He gave up just one run on three hits with four strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.

For the fifth time in the last nine games, Thurman Munson had a multi-hit game.  He went four for four with two doubles and a run.  Carlos May singled twice and he drove in two runs in the loss.
