April 15, 1958 at Fenway Park
Yankees 3, Red Sox 0  (1-0)

The Yankees kicked off their quest for their fourth straight American League pennant with a dominating win over the Red Sox.  Don Larsen yielded just four singles and he walked three en route to a complete game shutout.  He struck out two in the contest.

Yogi Berra brought the big stick as he provided the bulk of the Yankees offense.  He went two for four and he belted a two run homer in the seventh inning.  Mickey Mantle walked twice and scored a run to help out the cause.
