Ed Figueroa Is Hit Hard In Yankees Loss to Mariners

Mariners 5, Yankees 3 (59-48)

Ed Figueroa fell to 10-8 on the season with a rough start in the Yankees loss in their series opener to the Mariners. He gave up five runs on eighth hits with two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

Reggie Jackson belted a two run homer in the loss. It was his nineteenth long ball of the season. Chris Chambliss doubled and scored a run.
