Ed Figueroa Is Pummelled In Third Straight Loss

Mariners 7, Yankees 3  (30-21)

The Yankees dropped their third straight as the Mariners racked up seventeen hits.  Ed Figueroa took the brunt of the Mariners offensive attack and he fell to 5-4.  He gave up six runs on nine hits and three walks with one strikeout in four innings.

Thurman Munson was the hitting star in the loss.  He went two for four with a homerun and four RBIs.  Paul Blair also went yard with a solo shot in the seventh inning.
