Ed Figueroa Throws Seven Hit Shutout In Second Straight Win Over Red Sox

Yankees 2, Red Sox 0  (90-56)

Ed Figueroa improved to 15-9 on the season with an incredible start as the Yankees took their second straight game over the Red Sox.  He gave up seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts in the complete game shutout.

Reggie Jackson drove in both Yankee runs with his 26th homer of the season.  He and Bucky Dent were the only Yankee hitters to pick up two hits in thegame.
