Ed Figueroa Throws Three Hit Shutout In Yankees Win

Yankees 3, Angels 0  (17-12)

The Yankees were glad to get out of Seattle where they lost two straight but Ed Figueroa got the Yanks back on track in a three hit shutout in the team’s series opener against the Angels.  Figueroa walked five and struck out four in the win.

Thurman Munson continued his hot hitting and he went yard with his seventh homerun.  Carlos May went three for four with a double.
