Johnny Kucks Holds White Sox to Five Hits in Yankees Seventh Straight Win

Yankees 5, White Sox 1  (20-5)

The Yankees impressive start to the season continued behind an exceptional start by Johnny Kucks.  He gave up just one run on five hits and five walks with three strikeouts in the complete game win and he improved to 2-1 on the season.

Mickey Mantle, Hank Bauer and Marv Throneberry all belted solo shots in the win.  Mantle finished with two hits, a walk and two runs.
