by @ 12:08 pm. Filed under 1977 Yankees, 1977 Yankees Diary - May, Graig Nettles, Mike Torrez, Roy White

May 15, 1977 at Anaheim Stadium
Angels 8, Yankees 2  (18-13)

The Angels scored twice as many runs as they’d need to beat the Yankees in the first inning alone in a blowout.  Mike Torrez gave up the bulk of those runs in a tough start.  He gave up six runs on eight hits and three walks with two strikeouts in four innings.

Graig Nettles his his seventh homerun of the season the loss.  Roy White went two for three and he scored a run.
