Mike Torrez Pitches Yankees to Third Straight Win

Yankees 5, Red Sox 1  (39-31)

The Yankees won their third straight game behind a solid outing by the big right hander, Mike Torrez.  He gave up one run on seven hits and two walks with one strikeout in the complete game.

Graig Nettles provided most of the offense with a three run homer.  Mickey Rivers pitched in with a solo homerun.
