Yankees 8, Royals 4  (11-9)

Jim Beattie gave up four runs through the first innings but the Yankees came back to blowout the Royals.  The Yanks tied it in the fifth with three runs then they busted the game open in the seventh with four more.  Mickey Rivers went two for five with a triple, two RBIs and two runs while Chris Chambliss singled, drove in two and scored once.

The bullpen did a really nice job in this one as Rawly Eastwick picked up the win with 4 1/3 shutout innings of relief.  He improved to 1-0 and he gave up five hits while he struck out three.  Sparky Lyle threw 1 2/3 shutout innings and he picked up his third save of the season.
