Reggie Jackson Homers Twice In Yankees Second Straight Win Over Tigers

Yankees 9, Tigers 4  (92-57)

The Yankees turned up the offense and belted five homeruns as they blew out the Tigers for their second straight win.  Two of those long balls came off the bat of Reggie Jackson and his season total improved to 29.  Graig Nettles hit his 35th and Thurman Munson and the newly acquired Dave Kingman went yard with a two run shot.

Dick Tidrow improved to 11-4 with a solid start.  He gave up two runs on four hits with four strikeouts in seven solid frames.
