Reggie Jackson’s Ninth Inning Homer Wins It For Yankees

Yankees 4, Orioles 3  (5-5)

Reggie Jackson broke a 3-3 tie with a ninth inning walk off solo homer to win it for the Yankees.  Jackson also drew two walks and he finished the game with two runs.  Roy White and Thurman Munson each had two hits and an RBI in the win.

Ron Guidry gave up three runs in 6 1/3 innings in a decent start.  Sparky Lyle gave up just a pair of hits in 2 1/3 innings and he improved to 1-0 on the season.
