Ron Guidry Has Rough Start in Yankees Loss

Angels 5, Yankees 3  (59-47)

Ron Guidry had a couple of bad innings but hit led to a loss against the Angels.  He fell to 8-6 and he gave up five runs on seven hits and three walks with nine strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings.

Mickey Rivers was the hitting star in the loss.  He went three for five with a run.  Graig Nettles belted a solo homerun, his 25th of the season.
