Ron Guidry Improves to 5-0 In Yankees Win Over Indians

Yankees 5, Indians 3  (20-13)

The Yankees salvaged a split in their two game series with the Yankees despite an early three run deficit.  Lou Piniella had the big hit with a two run triple that he later scored on while Thurman Munson was three for five with a run and an RBI.

Ron Guidry improved to 5-0 despite the three early runs.  He gave them up on six hits and three walks with five strikeouts.  Goose Gossage got the final two batters out and he picked up his fifth save of the season.
