Ron Guidry Pitches Yankees to Another Win

April 29, 1977 at Yankee Stadium

Yankees 3, Mariners 0  (10-9)

Ron Guidry got his first start of the season and he pitched a gem.  He threw 8 1/3 shutout innings and he struck out eight Mariners.  Sparky Lyle got the final two batters out and he picked up his fifth save of the season.

Thurman Munson accounted for most of the Yankees offense with his two run homerun in the seventh inning.  Willie Randolph walked twice and score two runs while Roy White had two hits.
