Ron Guidry Throws Four Hit Shutout and Strikes Out Eighteen, Improves to 11-0

Yankees 4, Angels 0  (37-25)

Ron Guidry had a career start as the Yankees got back to winning.  Guidry improved to 11-0 and he gave up just four hits and two walks with an incredible and career high eighteen strikeouts in the win.

Gary Thomasson had a nice day at the plate and he went two for four with a triple, two RBIs and a run.  Thurman Munson singled twice and scored once.
