Roy White Belts Two Homers In Yankees Win Over Athletics

Yankees 5, Athletics 3  (34-24)

Roy White homered twice to help push the Yankees to their second straight win over the Athletics.  He finished with three RBIs while Willie Randolph was a perfect three for three with a walk and two runs.

Ed Figueroa picked up the win and he improved to 7-4.  He gave up three runs on eight hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.  Goose Gossage didn’t allow a hit in 2 1/3 innings and he picked up save number nine.
