Tom Sturdivant Is Hit Hard In Yankees Loss

The Yankees four game winning streak came to an end behind a rough outing by Tom Sturdivant.  He fell to 1-3 and he gave up five runs on six hits and three walks with a strikeout in six innings.  Bob Grim was also tagged for a pair of runs in his two innings of work.

Yogi Berra and Mickey Mantle both hit their seventh homers of the season.  Berra went yard in the second inning while Mantle’s came in the sixth.  Mantles homer was measured at 478 feet and it landed between the 19th and 20th row of the auxiliary scoreboard.
