Orioles 6, Yankees 5  (48-36)

The Yankees made two key errors in the eighth inning that helped lead to three unearned runs as the Yankees blew a two run lead in a loss to the Orioles.  Sparky Lyle too the loss and he gave up those three unearned runs and Ron Guidry gave up three runs in six innings in his start.

Graig Nettles and Thurman Munson both hit homers in the loss.  Nettles finished with two runs and two RBIs.
