The Yankees got back to winning with a come from behind win over the Orioles. Down 3-1, the Yankees scored single runs in each of the final three innings to walk away with the win.
Chris Chambliss hit homerun number four of the season and his run was tied the game up. Reggie Jackson had two RBIs including the go ahead run in the ninth on a sac. fly. Willie Randolph reached base five times (two doubles and three walks) and he scored three runs.
Gil Patterson left after five innings of work and he didn’t get the decision. Sparky Lyle then picked him up and threw four shutout innings. He gave up four hits and struck out five and picked up his first win of the season.
