Angels 6, Yankees 5  (64-50)

The Yankees five game winning streak came to an end in a twelve inning loss to the Angels.  Sparky Lyle was called on to throw more innings in a game since mid-May and he finally caved in and gave up a run in his sixth inning of work.  The loss dropped Lyle to 8-4 on the season.

Chris Chambliss belted a three run homer off of Nolan Ryan in the loss.  Carlos May went three for six and he drove in a run.
