April 29, 1978 at Metropolitan Stadium
Twins 3, Yankees 1  (9-9)

The Yankees couldn’t get anything going against Twins’ starter Geoff Zahn as they were held to just five hits.  The lone run didn’t come until the eighth inning when Bucky Dent doubled home Cliff Johnson.  No Yankee reached base more then once.

Dick Tidrow fell to 1-2 with the loss.  He gave up three runs on seven hits with four strikeouts in the complete game loss.
