Yankees Held to Single Run In Loss to Angels

Angels 4, Yankees 1  (58-46)

The Yankees could manage just one run against Angels’ starter Ken Brett in the Yankees series opener against.  Mickey Rivers went two for three with a double and he drove in the only run for the Yankees.  Willie Randolph singled and he scored the only run.

Catfish Hunter fell to 6-6 with the loss.  He gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in eight innings.
