Yankees Lose to Angels In Twelve Innings

Angels 4, Yankees 3  (32-23)

Goose Gossage gave up a run in the bottom of the twelth inning as the Yankees lost to the Angels by just a single run.  It was Gossage’s fourth inning of work and it followed three pitchers who all gave up one run a piece.

Chris Chambliss went two for four with two runs and two walks.  Mickey Rivers singled twice, stole two bases and drove in one.
