Indians 5, Yankees 1  (29-16)

The Yankees were held to just four hits and Sparky Lyle was roughed up as the Yankees three game winning streak came to an end.  The lone Yankee run came on a solo homer by Chris Chambliss.

Sparky Lyle was roughed up for three runs in 2 1/3 innings but it was Dick Tidrow who took the loss.  He fell to 3-4 and he gave up two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk in 5 2/3 innings.
