Red Sox 11, Yankees 1  (36-29)

The Yankees lost their third straight as they were swept in an ugly three game series by the Red Sox.  In this one, Ed Figueroa was shelled and he gave up six runs on seven hits and five walks with three strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.  Dick Tidrow was shelled as well and he gave up four runs in two innings.

Roy White doubled and he drove in the only run of the game for the Yankees.  In all, the offense was held to just three hits and a walk.
