Yankees Shut Out Again in Loss to Senators

by @ 7:08 am. Filed under 1947 Yankees, 1947 Yankees Diary - April, Aaron Robinson, Bobby Brown, Spud Chandler

April 27, 1947 at Yankee Stadium

Senators 1, Yankees 0  (7-4)

For the second time in three games, the Yankees were shutout and lost the game 1-0.  A great game by Spud Chandler went to waste in which he gave up only one run on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts.

The Yankees did manage eight hits but they couldn’t get a baserunner across.  Bobby Brown had three hits including two doubles while Aaron Robinson had two singles.
