A really nice start by Mike Torrez was wasted because the Yankees couldn’t score a single run in the second game of their doubleheader with the Rangers.  He gave up just one run on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts in a complete game loss.

Thurman Munson was the only Yankee with more then one hit.  He went two for four in the loss.
