Yankees 5, Orioles 4  (54-44)

Reggie Jackson hit a tenth inning walk off solo homer to win it in dramatic fashion for the Yankees in their extra inning win over the Orioles.  They needed a two run pinch hit homer in the bottom of the ninth to win it as well and even more impressive was the fact that the Orioles took a 4-0 lead.

Ed Figueroa gave up four runs in 8 2/3 innings and he didn’t get a decision.  Sparky Lyle threw 1 1/3 shutout innings and he improved to 8-3 on the season with the win.
